The Institute for Bio-Economy and Agri-Technology (iBO), is one of the five Institutes of the Centre for Research and Technology – Hellas (CERTH), a legal entity governed by private law with non-profit status, supervised by the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT) of the Greek Ministry of Development and Investments. The Institute of Bio-economy and Agri-Technology is active in basic and applied research in the field of technology, as well as in the development and promotion of prototype applications and procedures for the productive, economic and social exploitation of research findings with emphasis placed on agriculture and the primary sector. At the same time, the primary goal of the Institute is to provide specialized services of scientific and technological nature to support companies who are active in the field of bio-production, producers, agriculturalists, as well as to the involved policy making entities (stakeholders).
VIOSOKAT S.A. utilizing its daily production capacity, which reaches 500 tons, the modern mechanical equipment, as well as the renewal of its fleet, it succeeded in conjunction with its subsidiary company in the pet sector, A&D Triantafillou S.A. , to raise its sales from 35,000 tons to 50,000 in 2021 and run at a growth rate of over 65,000 tons in the current period, aiming to exceed €30 million in sales in 2022.
