The Institute for Bio-Economy and Agri-Technology (iBO), is one of the five Institutes of the Centre for Research and Technology – Hellas (CERTH), a legal entity governed by private law with non-profit status, supervised by the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT) of the Greek Ministry of Development and Investments.
VIOZOKAT S.A., an animal feed manufacturer which is based in the area of Katerini, Greece, was founded in 1966 and is one of the largest and longest-running animal feed industries in the Balkan region. The storage capacity of the A' Materials of the central factory reaches 40,000 tons, while it extends over an area of 80 acres.
Analysis of the existing situation at the facilities of the "VIOZOKAT" company will be made
Installation of fully controlled disinfestation containers and silos on the company's premises
Evaluation of usability and effectiveness of various approved contact insecticides in the field
The economic analysis will be carried out through the use of the Data Envelopment Analysis method
The design and implementation of integrated solutions to deal with insects and rodents in stored foods, based on state-of-the-art technologies, will be proposals that can be immediately exploited commercially, being perfectly adapted to the operational needs of the company.
